About Us

Scott PurcellHelping clients from start-ups to middle-market public companies tackle important issues for over 19 years, Scott Purcell has been a business advisor and confidant to many leaders and organizations. Scott has lived life both as a CPA, leaving Moss Adams LLP, the 10th largest CPA firm in the U.S., upon his admission to the partnership, as well as being the Chief Financial Officer of a publicly-traded international technology company, and also as the CFO of a 3rd generation family-owned business with operations throughout the state of Oregon.

Scott’s experience in varied industries, and his penchant for keeping focused on the most critical issues, results in consulting engagements that are efficient and which create relevant results. He believes in continuous improvement and delivering sustainable financial results-by using a Leadership style which involves others and brings their full efforts to accomplish the organization’s goals. He does that through facilitating Measurable Management® workshops-and guarantees the tangible results will be greater than the fee for the course. His focus on Strategic Planning, including working with leaders and their teams to create relevant and effective plans, and uses The One Page Business Plan® as an accountability tool to ensure the most important goals actually get accomplished. He also is proficient in financial analysis-creating budgets and forecasts, including helping companies create first-time budgets. He’s a strong proponent of ensuring small and mid-sized organizations have the quality and quantity of information they need to make great decisions and manage their organization in a professional manner. Scott is comfortable and effective in family businesses and the relational issues peculiar to them, as well as typical corporate settings.

Scott earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Accounting from Oregon State University, while being respected as the faculty’s Outstanding Accounting Student and later being recognized as the Outstanding Accounting Alumni in 2000. After just two years in public accounting at Coopers & Lybrand LLP, Scott was awarded the Living the C&L Commitment Award, one of 10 national recipients from C&L’s 13,000 employees. Civically Scott has served the Eugene-Springfield community as a member of the Eugene Chamber’s Economic Development Council, including its Chair in 2005. Scott also cares deeply about raising responsible children, is the father of four daughters, and is a Certified Facilitator of the Love and Logic Institute’s, Parenting with Love and Logic program. Through this program, parents and grandparents learn techniques to instill responsibility in kids and creating healthy family relationships.
